We began our business journey with Romantic Gestures NZ in 2014 with zero business qualifications, funding or understanding of how to run a business. With a desire to become self employed and provide a unique, quality service not offered in NZ at the time, everything we have learnt has been self-taught. As with any start up SME (Small to Medium Enterprise), cash flow is limited for the Marketing budget which is one of the most important assets for any business just starting out. How else are people going to know what you sell?

Having no budget for Marketing we soon learnt how to market ourselves, organically. Now, several years later our business is on the first page of Google using several different keywords.

Knowing how hard it is for SME’s to succeed on little to no budget has led us to create this platform to advise and guide them through their own business journey so they too can be just as successful. This is something that we feel very passionate about.

We believe you too should feel excited and passionate about what you are doing without the constraints of the financial burden that start-ups face when searching for advice and help.

Our business journey has ignited our passion and drive to help others start something great. With this passion we bring valued knowledge and experience as well as developing effective processes within any business.

With over 15 years’ experience operating multiple businesses, we have held multiple roles including Accounting, Marketing and Event Planning. We believe in providing the tools, guidance, and advice without breaking the bank.

About Us

With a career in the Military spanning two decades and completing a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), I have been very fortunate to learn skills such as Leadership, Team Management, Inventory Management, Process Development, Implementation & Improvement. Having worked in the hospitality industry for the past several years across Military bases, restaurants and cafes, complete with a teaching degree and running three businesses, Customer Service is a passion of mine and I love helping businesses with their systems and processes to ensure repeat custom.
